How does a data sanitisation process work?

• First, get in touch with us today. You’ll get your own friendly account manager who will help you from start to finish. Your account manager will help you to create an equipment inventory detailing what computers and devices need to be collected. We’ve created some simple guides that will help you prepare for collection.  We even offer an on-site pack and wrap pallet service.

• We’ll arrange a secure collection of your IT equipment using our fleet of tracked vehicles. You’ll get a unique reference known as an AAR.

• Your collection will arrive at our approved, authorised treatment facility. Each item is logged against your unique AAR to give you a full asset management report.

• They are then labelled with a barcode that is scanned at each step of the process, allowing us to track each item’s status and location. All items are cleaned and any customer identification markings are removed.

• Next, our trained technicians conduct a full functionality diagnosis for each item.  This lets us know if any item needs special attention, can be recycled or needs to be destroyed.

• In most cases a data sanitisation process is performed to all data bearing assets using Blancco software.  We double check that the data has been erased and if any items fail they are removed and destroyed.  

• Once the process is complete you receive a full Due Diligence Pack to demonstrate you comply with the latest GDPR and EA legislation. This will also include a sustainability certificate outlining your carbon savings.

• As part of our continued service to you we provide you access to a customer portal where you can access all relevant documents, certificates and reports at all

times and a direct communication link to your dedicated account manager.
