Exactly 1 Year Until Support Ends for Windows 10

It’s exactly one year to go until Microsoft officially ends support for Windows 10 on 14th October 2025.

However, despite there being a year to go until the big switch off, Windows 10 remains the most used operating system in the world.

For many businesses with Windows 10 still loaded on their PCs, it’s time to make some decisions.

If you have fairly new devices that are powered by Windows 10, you will be able to simply switch over to Windows 11 when you’re ready.

Users can check their device with Microsoft’s PC health check tool to see if they are compatible for a free upgrade. If so, Windows 11 should take about 1 hour to install.

Sadly if your current devices aren’t compatible, it leaves you with some key decisions to make.

Windows 10 WILL still work after 14th October, 2025, BUT using it after that date comes with significant risks. You won’t receive vital free system updates, technical assistance and security patches which could leave your business at risk of cyber attacks or bugs.
